Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between live and test mode? We want to let you implement and try BlockScore as soon as possible. Because every business we work with has to undergo a vetting procedure before having access to live data, we let you access dummy data for the purposes of testing. These transactions do not cost you any money but they will also not verify identities against real data. To make a test verification pass, for the document number enter the value "0000".
How long does it take for my business to be verified? The time to research each business varies, but typically we can verify your business within one business day.
What does it mean if my business is rejected? If your business is rejected, that means that your business did not pass our verification process. If you contact support, we can give you an explanation of why your business was rejected.
Can we use your verifications with the purpose of reselling? You cannot resell verifications under our public agreement. If you are interested in a partnership program, please contact us directly.
Do you provide international question sets? For the time being, we do not provide international question sets.
For watchlist scanning, against which watchlists do you check? You can find a full list of watchlists that our watchlist scanning service has the option of scanning against on our documentation.
From where do you get your data? BlockScore data comes from sources such as credit bureaus, the Social Security Administration, Bell companies, the USPS, the DMV and other identity record holders.
What is your hit rate on international verifications? Hit rates vary quite widely based on the country in question. Typically, non-US match rates will be lower. Our match rates are strongly correlated with how strong a country's credit infrastructure is.
